BHEL Recruitment Through GATE 2012

BHEL is recruiting Engineers Trainees in 2012 based on GATE 2012 score. Total number of expected positions are 800 for various disciplines. Opened positions for Mechanical are 550, Electrical (175) and for electronics (75). These branches are broadly mentioned and also covers few other specific branches. Eligibility Conditions:
Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/Technology ( 4yrs after 10+2) or Five year integrated Master Degree or Dual Degree programme in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronics Engineering.
Engineering Degrees from professional societies like UPSC/AICTE/AMIE equivalent to BE/BTECH in Mechanical/Electrical/ Electronics Engineering.
For the above disciplines for the post of Engineers Trainee, candidates with Engineering Degree in some other disciplines will be considered, for which they will, however take the GATE-2012 exam in one of the relevant BHEL advertised discipline. Refer to official website for more details.
Final year students are eligible to apply. However if they selected, they must be in a position to submit their final marks sheet by 20.08.2012.

AGE Limit:
27 for Greaduates in Engineering and Technology and 29 for Postgraduate or Engineering or Business Admistration.
Candidates born before 01.08.1983 are not eligible
There are relaxations for OBC/SC/ST and other categories.

How to Apply:
The website to apply online will be opened on 04.01.2012 follow the procedure mentioned on the website. We will also give updates and video for filling online application form.
Application fee in Rs. 100/- for General and OBC category.

Selection Procedure:
The candidates will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of GATE 2012 score in order of merit in the ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies in each discipline and category.
Final selection panels shall be prepared by assigning a weightage of 75% for GATE 2012 score and 25% to interview marks.

Salary/Compensation: Cost to company (CTC) is 7.5 ~ 8.8 Lakhs per annum
